From move-in day to the first day of classes, orientation leaders from the Center for Student Involvement work to make every Spider feel at home. After meeting their roommates and settling into the residence halls, new students participated in New Spider Orientation, which consists of a combination of educational programs and a variety of social opportunities to meet their classmates, including a block party with live music and food trucks outside the Modlin Center for the Arts. The second annual Spider Drop, a student-led take on watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve, featured a live concert before a projected Spider dropped down Boatwright Tower.
