Biology professor Kristine Grayson is a field ecologist with expertise in population ecology, the study of the numbers of a certain organism and where they’re found. She also researches invasive forest pests, migration in salamanders, and the impact of climate change on all these species.

The primary goal of her research program is to understand the ecology and physiology of animals in changing environments. She talks with President Ronald A. Crutcher about her research, including work to help endangered amphibians and a reptile in New Zealand where warmer nests could mean more males in the population.
