What will it take to get a vaccine to fight COVID-19 that is safe, effective, and widely available? Eugene Wu, University of Richmond associate professor of biology and biochemistry, studies viruses and has been encouraged by what he is seeing with the vaccine trials. He shares his insights on vaccines generally — and specific to COVID-19 — and discusses what we are looking at in terms of the timeline and process.
Note: The interviews and footage secured for this video were shot adhering to physical distancing and additional COVID-19-related safety guidelines. The footage in Wu’s lab recorded before March 2020 is also included.
