Jepson School visionary honored for notable leadership
Spider Pride
There are a few household names synonymous with the University of Richmond and our history of academic excellence. The Jepson family falls into that category, so it should be no surprise that one of our alums and the visionary behind our school of leadership studies, Robert Jepson Jr., is being recognized for his notable leadership.
As the newest Georgia Trustee, Jepson joins a long list of notable leaders whose accomplishments and community service reflect the highest ideals of the founding body of the group, which dates back to 1732. His transformative work with the Telfair Museums, the Port of Savannah, the Georgia Historical Society, and two institutes of higher education demonstrate his philanthropic endeavors.
“Bob and his wife, Alice Andrews Jepson, continue to innovate and lead, most recently with the creation of the Jepson Scholars Program, which provides scholarships for Jepson School students to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Oxford,” Jepson Dean Sandra Peart said.
Leadership runs through and through here at UR thanks to alums like Mr. Jepson!
