Prestigious scholarships are the norm around campus — and we certainly know a thing or two about the competitive Fulbright program.

The latest in the Fulbright lineup is Justine Guan, ’19, who is heading to Kazakhstan in January for an English teaching assistant position. She majored in healthcare studies and Russian while on campus, and her long-term goal is to pursue a career in social work or international education. She is one of over 10,000 students from 700+ institutions to vie for one of 1,900 grants — talk about an achievement!

“I knew that I wanted to spend more time in Kazakhstan, especially with the country’s growing geopolitical significance in the English and Russian-speaking world,” Guan said.

Congratulations, Justine!
