Alums' company awarded exclusive NASA license
Spider Pride
We love bragging on alums and sharing their successes far and wide. The latest is out of this world — literally — because the cybersecurity company that Robert Woods, R’89, founded has been awarded an exclusive NASA software license.
Woods’ company, Equator Corporation, will help stop hackers by combining its proprietary tools with NASA’s cybersecurity technology monitoring system that analyzes data for suspicious behavior.
“Cyber criminals and adversaries threaten our way of life by attacking systems we depend on each day,” Robert said. “Equator developed completely unique and game-changing technology … to give control back to users and restore confidence and trust in our ability to protect data and systems upon which we rely.”
Founded in 2008, Equator Corporation’s key clients include NASA, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Australian Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, and more, said Karen Woods, W’89, Equator’s chief operating officer.
Congratulations to Robert and Karen for making great strides in cybersecurity!
