Richmond rises in the ranks of national liberal arts colleges
Spider Pride
It’s that time of year again — not only are students settling into the fall semester, but we’ve been excitedly awaiting rankings season. We’re proud to share that we’ve earned the No. 23 spot in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2020 guide for national liberal arts colleges — up two spots from last year! We’re also No. 24 in the “Best Value” list, which is a testament to our being need-blind in admission and meeting 100% of demonstrated need.
There are other highlights, too — like being included in the "Campus Ethnic Diversity" category and being named No. 10 among other liberal arts colleges on the “Most Innovative Schools” list. We also ranked No. 20 on the "Learning Communities" list, highlighting the opportunity for students to take multiple courses as a group, deepening connections with each other and their professors.
“Some colleges and universities are much more determined than others to provide undergrads with the best possible educational experience, recognizing that certain enriched offerings from learning communities … are linked to success,” the guide noted.
We know Richmond is a special place, but it never hurts to be reminded!
