Spiders tend to be at the top of their game, which is why two of our own were just selected to join the Virginia Governor’s Fellows Program this summer.

Sean Clair, ’19, and Taylor Hoogsteden, ’20, will join 26 other prestigious students in gaining exposure into the highest level of state government.

“Not only do these exceptional young students represent the next generation of Virginia leaders, they bring new energy and valuable perspectives to our office,” Governor Ralph Northam said in a news release. 

Clair recently graduated with a chemistry degree and plans to work in science policy after he completes the program. Hoogsteden is majoring in leadership studies and plans to earn a master’s degree in education.
