Spiders earn the reputation of being changemakers and leaders, and we think it’s safe to say their time at Richmond serves as a launchpad for their future — and oftentimes high-profile — endeavors.

UR Law alum, Ben Cline, L’07, is a recent example as he’s been elected and sworn into Congress to represent Virginia’s Sixth District. In addition to being responsible for much of the Shenandoah Valley, he has just been named to the House Committee on Education and Labor and the House Judiciary Committee.

“The Sixth [district] is home to more than 20 colleges and universities, more than almost any other district in Congress,” Cline said.  “My work on education and labor will be informed by our district’s thriving higher education sector and close relationships with educators and administrators across the region.”
