Spider Pride

Our students truly make Richmond shine, but there are so many Spiders who play vital roles in making our favorite university among the best. We love when others recognize our administration, faculty and staff who make our mission a reality. And when that recognition also places us in the nation’s top 3 — you can’t blame us for wanting to brag.

This week, the Princeton Review ranked us as the No. 3 best-run college, in addition to breaking the top 10 and top 20 in several additional categories. This year’s full accolades are:

  • No. 3 Best-Run College
  • No. 4 Best Career Services
  • No. 5 Best Classroom Experience
  • No. 8 Most Beautiful Campus
  • No. 10 Best Quality of Life
  • No. 10 Best Athletic Facilities
  • No. 11 Best College Library
  • No. 11 Lots of Greek Life
  • No. 12 Most Popular Study Abroad Program
  • No. 13 Best Health Services
  • No. 16 Best Campus Food

We’re honored by all of these accolades, especially the remarks by some of our students, who praised our “unparalleled resources,” particularly the “high number of research, internship, and study abroad opportunities available.” One noted, “My professors showed me how to love to learn again.”

All of this excitement adds to our first-day-of-class countdown. We'll see our newest Spiders in just a few days!
