Of Richmond’s many distinct qualities, strong leadership is certainly among our best. Our ambitious students are known to lead in their careers, as well as dedicate time to organizations that spark their passions.

Steve Farbstein, ’83, is a recent example of a Spider who has showcased these hardworking qualities. Currently the vice president of business development at Cornerstone RPO, Farbstein was recently elected to lead the March of Dimes’ National Volunteer Leadership Council.

For 27 years, he has served as a volunteer leader of the nonprofit organization, which works to improve the health of mothers and babies through research and policy reform. In his new post, Farbstein will be responsible for working with influential leaders throughout the country to create a national strategy that supports the needs of mothers and babies.

“Steve’s experience at many levels of March of Dimes, his outstanding relationship-building skills, and his passion for advocacy for moms and babies, make him a great choice to lead the development of our top volunteer leaders,” March of Dimes’ President Stacey D. Stewart said in a news release.

We are so proud of our alums who leave our campus to make positive change in the world. Congratulations, Steve!
