Last week, Montreal’s Cirque Kikasse rolled its mobile circus and food truck onto campus and performed two shows of physical comedy, juggling, and acrobatic feats. 

“We wanted to use the Westhampton Green as our stage to reimagine public space and expand where and how audiences can experience live performances,” said Shannon Hooker, director of the Modlin Center for the Arts. “It was so much fun to experiment with outdoor programming and to see so many people gather for this dazzling spectacle under the trees.” 

The family-friendly programs drew a combined audience of over 1,000, including students and campus and community members. As part of the festivities, students from MASA, or the Modlin Arts Student Ambassadors, hosted balloon animals, face painting, and lawn game stations.
