Commencement is more than a moment — it’s the culmination of four years of academics, daily activities, and events. University Communications created a video to capture those moments for the Class of 2026 and share them during the Commencement ceremony.

"We reviewed all of our social content to find videos that included our seniors over their four years at Richmond," said Rachel Dawson, social media manager.

The seniors on the social media team — Sophie Dulog, Jessi Cooper, and Lydia Doherty — reviewed the posts to ensure a strong mix for the video.

The multimedia team created a seamless video of the posts. “They’re like snapshots and slivers of who they’ve been over the years,” said Megan Condict, director of multimedia. The team also incorporated moments from Athletics and other campus events.

Senior videographer Kevin Heraldo identified themes and grouped the posts accordingly. One section, for example, focuses on the day-in-the-life of students.

“It’s a meaningful story with fun content mixed in,” Condict said.

In the final weeks leading up to Commencement, the team asked seniors to share memories and to give callouts to their professors. “That was a great way to wrap up the video,” Dawson said.
