University of Richmond Women's Basketball team weathered a second-quarter comeback-bid from Fordham on Saturday to record their 1,000th program win and remain undefeated at home in the last 17 games in the Robins Center.

Behind 18 points from Rachel Ullstrom and 16 points from Grace Townsend, the Spiders secured a 79-60 victory over the Rams. The Spiders are now 19-4 overall and 9-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference action, while Fordham fell to 7-15 overall and 2-9 in conference play. Richmond’s win streak dates back to 2022-23.

The game was Ullstrom’s 22nd in double figures. Four other Spiders also finished the game in double figures: Townsend (16 points), Maggie Doogan (10), Addie Budnik (10) and Siobhan Ryan (10). It was the first time the Spiders had five players in double figures since the Dec. 16 game against Liberty.

Townsend led the team in rebounds with seven, pushing her career rebound total to 503. She also led the team in assists, with 6. Budnik led the Spiders in blocks, with three, while Doogan and Townsend each posted two steals.

The Spiders have the sixth-longest home win-streak of NCAA Division I teams, trailing Cleveland State (18 wins).
