From Austin to Barcelona and San Diego to London, 2023 Spider graduates are heading to prominent roles at top organizations and graduate schools around the world.

The Class of 2023 has secured jobs and fellowships at highly coveted companies and organizations, including Pfizer, Morgan Stanley, the National Security Agency, and the Peace Corps. And some recent grads are continuing their education at some of the world’s premier graduate institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Cornell, Yale, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, and Oxford.

By the Numbers

During Commencement ceremonies over the weekend, Spider grads were awarded 786 undergraduate bachelor’s degrees from the School of Arts & Sciences, Robins School of Business, and Jepson School of Leadership Studies. The School of Professional & Continuing Studies awarded 45 bachelor’s degrees and 67 master’s degrees. And the Richmond School of Law awarded 149 juris doctor degrees.

• 97% of students indicated their post-graduate plans align with their career goals.
• Through study abroad, research, and internship programs around the world, half of the Class of 2023 studied abroad with University support, despite COVID-related travel restrictions throughout their time at UR.

• More than 20% of law school graduates earned the Carrico Center Pro Bono Certificate, which recognizes students who complete at least 120 hours of service during their three years of law school.
• The Jepson School of Leadership Studies Class of 2023 comprises 80 majors, all of whom completed a combined total of 28,239 internship hours.
• 44% of business school graduates studied abroad.
