The Spiders take on the University of Iowa Hawkeyes in the first round of March Madness this Thursday in Buffalo, N.Y. Join in on the watch party at the Robins Center on campus Thursday at 3 p.m.

The doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the first 1,000 people in attendance will get a free Atlantic 10 Champions T-shirt. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available. 

The 12th-seeded Spiders will clash with the 5-seed Iowa in the opening round of the 64-game tournament. The Spiders secured a berth in the tourney after defeating Davidson College in the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game. Richmond defeated Rhode Island, VCU, and Dayton prior to the championship game this past Sunday.

This will be the 10th NCAA Tournament appearance for the Spiders in program history. 

For those who’d rather attend the game in person, Richmond will face the Hawkeyes in Buffalo, N.Y. at the KeyBank Center on Thursday, March 17. Alumni can attend a pre-game gathering at Draft Room in Buffalo.

The general public may purchase tickets to the game in Buffalo online. The game will air on TruTV, and broadcast on Westwood One Sports radio.
