Our multifaceted students are no strangers to showcasing their skills — but it’s not every day they’re able to show their talents both on the gridiron and in Europe’s most legendary cathedrals.

Defensive lineman and music major Kobie Turner, ’21, recently went on a weeklong tour with UR choir Schola Cantorum through cities in Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy. The group immersed themselves in European culture while also performing in the “same sacred space of our musical ancestors,” Turner said.

“I don’t think there are many Division I football players, or Division I student-athletes for that matter, who have had the opportunity to partake in such an amazing experience,” he said, “and I am blessed and truly favored to have had the opportunity to do so.”
